New yarns

Bought me some new yarn at Scharlaeken in Bruges.  It's a macro picture ... be sure,
the crochet bead on this picture is only 1.5 cm and has been crocheted with the green version of this yarn.
The tube has a diameter of 4 mm.

Stay tuned to see the finished necklaces.

This is another bobin from Scharlaeken, but with sewing thread.  I use this thread to combine it with the silk thread for a more lively color.

Saturday Shopping Day

Welcome back (a little earlier than normal, but this way you can enjoy the blogpost longer and have time to make your own post to link)
In the mean time I finished the necklaces from this blogpost.

Refocus today

Holidays are over ... today I start working again ... and I have to refocus ...
wintertravelbrochures are in and now is the time to sell ski-holidays ... so in the heat
of the summer, I cool down selling snow :-)

Shades of grey

Inspiration for this necklace was found on the terrace of the little 'gîte' ...
shades of grey and boulders.

'Vide grenier' finds

A national 'sport' in France is 'vide grenier' : empty your attic and sell it in a charming little village.  I found some treasures which I used to make necklaces.

A waxed linen thread that crochets a little though and gives a leathery look.

The traditional 'Pastis' collection.

A ''winebottlegreen'' old glass necklace was pimped into these :

A secret holiday tip

If you like to spoil your senses with :

the smell of lavender
the sound of crickets and bees
just a vineyard as your next door neighbour
splendid views
peace and quiet
'du vaing et du paing' (wine and bread)

you surely would like this charming little 'cabanon' in the Provence.

This 'cabanon' was build in 1945 by the grandfather of the owner.  It was formerly
used as a space to put away the 'garden tools'.  You can find them all over the Provence near vineyards and olivetreefields.  Some are so small you can touch all
walls just by spreading your arms.  Most of them are not restored and still stay
in the fields as a mark of forgotten times. The one we rented was perfectly restored and large enough to settle 6 persons.  With love and dedication, this gîte was furbished.
All details where there : from toothpics to an umbrella.
