A house in Tuscany

It looks like a fairtale !

Perfect house, great comfort, quiet, no neighbours,

just nature and great view !

The road driving to the house was quite dangerous.

wel ... very very dangerous indeed ...

 one would be better off with a 4x4

We had a 'wild' friend visiting us daily for some food, loved all italian food ... stealing spaghetti, risotto ...

And then this fairytale turned into a nightmare.  During our visit to the village about 4 km down the road we had visitors breaking in

into the house in a very agressive way.  The house was very good protected with iron bars ... but that would not stop the burglars.

Ruined the window, broke the doors, turned the whole house upside down,

moved furniture, openend all cabinets, even lifted the mattresses from the beds, frameworks where lifted ... shocking !!!!!!!!!!!

Our laptop, camera, loaders, rucksack, money and some paperwork where stolen. So I have almost no pics of this holiday, just the ones I made with my iPhone.  Feels freaky when someone runs off with your laptop and

your personal information. 

Vacation was over for us.  We called the owners (that where very very friendly) and the carabinieri. 

We left the same night as we did not feel safe anymore in the house.

Drove home at easy, stopped for the night in Colmar and

visited Metz for lunch. 

 Both worth the visit !

The place to be : Petit Bazar & Petit Café

Get a glimpse of good taste ! Geert and Caroline have been collecting the most amazing stuff you can imagine. Caroline loves to make 'des pieces uniques' by customizing furniture, cushions etc ... They open up their house for the first time for only 4 unique days. Geert will give you the atmosphere of a real vintage café, playing awesome music. Meanwhile you can admire (and buy) the items of Caroline's collection. If you are a fan of the Provence and the typical 'vide-greniers', you surely will love this !

Demolition Brothers Ltd

Hi, we look ever so cute, we know ... be we are

also known as the Demolition Brothers Ltd.

Let's have a look how we rearranged the garden :

Who needs eggplants ? We don't like that, yuk !

The newly planted Gaura ... a paradise made in heaven as it is (was) supported with lots of rope and we really love that. 

 It looks like a maze to us.

Ok ... now we can start to demolish our little nest.

Just a little performance how we do our demolition job.

The kittens (now about 8 weeks old) where brought to animal shelter today and will be adopted very soon.

We trained them during 4 weeks to get used to people and not become wild just like their mother.

We hope our garden will recover ...

Classic with a twist

As still no 'details' can be crocheted - I am experimenting with other possibilities to uplift a classic beaded necklace into something more modern.

Here  I used some silver wire and seed beads to make an unsual detail.

These sodalite beads look a lot bigger on photo than they really are - they only mesure 4mm - I've twisted some silk yarn around the basic wire for a nice detail.

This uplifts this classid necklace into a more modern version.

Contrasts

Only a week ago we had 25 ° : bbq's, shorts, tops and slippers

This week we have 9.5 ° : stews, soup, trousers and a fleece !

Speaking about contrasts ...
