Challenging materials

You might recognize the large quantity of acupuncture needles ...

Having a some sessions of acupuncture to help relief the pain in my elbow (yep ... still hurting) and hoping to get cured by this.

But ... the needles triggerd me in getting some ideas to make jewelry out of the grips that fit the actual needles. 

 It's such fine and delicate material.

My acupuncturist offered me all the needles she has been collecting, a  huge quanitity !

Still some patience to see what I will come up with ...

Workshop @Mieke Recour

A refreshing early morning walk before the start of a beautiful day at the seashore in De Haan. Heading for the workshop 'Hot Textiles' @ Mieke Recour.

 Some of Mieke's pretty silk, ceramic and felt creations in her workshoproom.

Coloring the bondaweb and making a collage with different materials on a frame and an old wooden box.

 Coloring of a light sheet of polyetheen with acrylic paint.

 Making fabric beads with the heat gun.

 A ring made out of a handcolored thick sheet of polyetheen.

  And some brooches in a combination of thick and thin sheets of polyetheen and fabric.

Lots and lots of try-outs to get some good ones,

 as it looks a lot simpler then it is.
