Budapest: seeking for tips

Straddling the romantic Danube River, with the Buda Hills to the west and the start of the Great Plain to the east, Budapest is the most beautiful city in central Europe. And the human legacy is just as remarkable as Mother Nature’s. Architecturally, Budapest is a gem, with enough baroque, neoclassical, Eclectic and art nouveau (or Secessionist) buildings to satisfy anyone’s appetite. With parks brimming with attractions, museums filled with treasures, pleasure boats sailing up and down the scenic Danube and Turkish-era thermal baths belching steam, the Hungarian capital is a delight both by day and by night.

Sounds great but we want more!
My friend and I will be travelling on the 17th of April for a few days to this pretty metropolis.
Besides all major sites to see, we are seeking for those little tips on:
* yarn/woolshops
* fleamarkets
* beadshops
* craftshops
* local designers
Secret tips, anyone?

Kitchengarden@home

March 17th - vegetable beds are ready - but the weather is too cold to start seeding

 March 24 - few herbs where planted front right - raspberries & strawberries back left

My job in this gardenstory?  Sewing cheap Ikea curtains into perfect covers avoiding insects and birds to start eating before we ever would have a chance.

March 29th - see the curtains?
Hoping for spring to start so we can start the real work too.

For all (Belgian) kitchengardenfans:

  tonight at 8.15 pm on VIER

Sewing thread loops necklace

Tried it with merino and paperyarn, but wanted to make a 'smaller' version of this necklace, so used 2 threads of sewingthread and mixed the colors.
Making tiny loops of only 6 stitches comes to this result.
