Playing with crochet tubes

Textile workshop

A workshop was followed at the studio of lovely Mieke Recour.  This time we where instructed how to play with Evolon, Vliesofix and Tyvek.  I applied two techniques in my work.

1/ painting the Evolon, Vliesofix and Tyvek - which after ironing resulted in bright colors on one side of the necklace.

2/ transferring a photo onto silk and stick this with Vliesofix onto the other side of the necklace. 

This resulted in an ultra light, personalised and soft necklace.

Winterwoollies: crochet versus knitwork

Left one is crocheted, right one knitted, but both with the same yarn!
