The 'expat' necklace
Received a request to make a necklace for a Belgian woman living in Australia. I immediatly thought of making her something that would remind her of Belgium in a subtle way: so decided that our national flagcolors would be the inspiration for this necklace.
I call it the expat necklace!
Combed African vinyl discs, an old Ethiopian trade bead and some crochetwork to translate this into a necklace.
A multi culti mix!

An old box
A while ago I received a nice surprise in my mailbox. Dear Yael from PazzaPazza sended me this old cigarette box filled with old Gütermann silk sewingthread in bright colors.
What a delight!
I did not use these bobins at the moment of receiving, due to lack of time and inspiration.
Thank you Yael, for arousing my crochetpassion!

Minimalism
Minimalism in materials: just a crochet needle, some real silk thread and a metal ring.
Minimalism in implementation
