Intriging materials
I love to use not the usual 'jewellery' materials in my work. On etsy I found Paperphine. The range of paperthreads and yarn they sell is awesome. I used the finest paperyarn in some of my designs and I am always surprised in the effect and texture this yarn gives to a piece. Sometimes I mix it with silk or cotton, but I rather like the natural color of this paperyarn.
"Fine Paper Yarns are a very rare material nowadays even though they have had a long history in textiles production and other creative fields.
The Paper Yarn's diameter is only a fraction of an inch (0.01 in / 0,4mm) and there are countless possibilities to use it. Crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, weaving, using it for decorations or elegant gift wrapping are just some of the ideas that come to mind. This delicate Paper Yarn is nevertheless quite sturdy. Thanks to its warm feeling and exquisite touch it's suitable for your most ambitious projects."

Just paper
I found this beautiful and very thin paperyarn at Paperphine. I also bought on of their selfmade paperbeads in white. I crocheted one bead with the thinest paperyarn ... pics to give you an idea. I will be using these beads in my new collection Les doux & durs.
