Fresh from the sea

As I live at the Belgian coast it's fun to get up early in the morning and go get fresh 'grey shrimps' directly from the fisherman's boats.
They have to be peeled and that takes quite some time.  For 1.3 kg it took me almost 2 hours.  But I had a fanclub that sat next to me very patiently untill they would get a peeled shrimp ...

It's a bit like beading : tiny, a lot, patiently, great result !

So nice to see you in person and modelling one of your jewels too!
We use to fry those tiny shrimps and have them with Polenta.

HI !!!

I hope you get to eat all your hard work. Or was it all for your furry fan club?

Hmm, this brings back memories! My dad is an avid fisherman and when I was a kid, he sometimes used to go fishing at the Belgian coast on a boat. He would bring back schrimps too and we would all sit around the kitchentable chatting and cleaning them together. Bliss! I love schrimps! :)
