A suprise from Peru

These look like a box of sweets !
I got spoiled by Ann from De Zilverij ! She brought these home for me from her trip to Peru.  Tagua Nuts in all shapes and colors.
A challenge to make some nice things with these colorfull beads.
It came with this nice handwritten boulder.
Indeed this made my day !

If ever you need materials for art clay silver,
beautiful gemstones or a list of workshops,
take a look at De Zilverij.

This is the first necklace with a large Tagua Nut

Stay tuned for Saturday Shopping Day to see more !

Ohhh, I am so jealous!!! They are wonderful and would fit perfectly for my paper earrings. The accuracy of the folding combined with the unregular nuts.
Thanks for the tip, I already favoured the link and will have a look :-))

This is so interesting! I opened the link to Wikipedia to read about those nuts and the palms they grow on! What wonderful art has being made from this material!
This present got to the right person Sandra - your first piece is very beautiful and I can't wait to see more to come!
Now I am going to check out Ann's shop!
Have a good day - and I am very much looking forward, you know to what! :-)

Beautiful! What fun to get some beautiful beads from a friend. I especially like the use of the silver rings & toggle on the necklace ~ very contemporary looking. Tam
