Images de France

Found this on ebay and fell in love with it immediatly !
Each old bobin represents a woman with the traditional
headdress of a region in France

If someone has more information about this (Lucie ?) I would love to read it, as I couldn't find a lot about it.

Ik ben nu zelf geen "naaister" maar ik zou het toch ook kopen moest ik het zien. ;-) Héél tof.

Stunning!
What a great discovery, Sandra!
Just asked myself wether the heads are detachable,
then they could be used as a needle case?

Achter ieder bobijntje zit een verhaal, leuk is dat!

Sandra these are fabulous collectibles! They were sold separately during the 1960s and each wore the traditional regional "coiffe", one for Alsace, Normandie, Bretagne, etc. they were made by Filatures du Sartel based in Wattrelos near Roubaix, France. They are very valuable collectibles. Somewhere I've read that people used to paint them...
You're right there's not much information about them except financial issues concerning the firm.
