Hills and Lakes in Switzerland

Juanita Tortilla is hosting this weeks European Street Team Challenge with the

Hills and Lakes - theme.

This is my entry (as I am half Swiss I could not neglect this challenge :-) )

Blue for the lakes

green for what is in between lakes and hills

grey and black for the hills and rocks

white for the snow !

All the participants to this weekly challenge with the 'seeds and pods' theme made great entries.  I am happy I've got to know you all. For me it was very hard to choose, as all made great effort to come up with a great item.

But, I made my choice ....

Europeanstreetteam weekly Challenge : Seeds and Pods

Coincidences happen : I am the randomly picked winner of the EST challenge hosted by Kirschbits !  And ... exactly one year ago on the 15 th of March I

hosted my very first EST challenge too !

The Weekly Challenge is a sort of Billboard – contest host by members of the Etsy European Street Team, Etsy sellers from all over Europe.

How does it work :

One member of the team, the winner of the previous week, selects a theme and publishes it in her/his blog. The other team members who would like to participate, send him/her a photo of a handmade item specially made for the challenge, or one that meets concept of the selected theme. After a week, or sometimes 2 weeks, the host of the challenge selects a winner from all the entries submitted and published in the blog. Then that winner continues the thread.

I am sure that most of you ever made a necklace out of melonseeds when you where little, and as I am a fan of natural products I set the theme to :

 Seeds and Pods

Where to find these ? In your garden, in a gardenshop, a flowershop that gives workshops for flower arrangements ... just let your imagination flow !

European Street Team Challenge : entry 'Animals'

This week the challenge is hosted by Star of the East. Estella is a real animal lover so I see why she chose this theme.  It took me some time to think of an original way to combine jewelry and animals.

A promotion in the Aldi-shop of a chamois leather gave me the right inspiration.  It's made from sheepskin and everybody uses it for cleaning windows or give a nice shine to jewelry.

But ... I don't want to link it to a sheep ... I want to link it to a Shar Pei dog ( I know Ester and Estella looooove dogs !) ... I hope you can see why ?  It's called : Wrinkels & Wrinkeld ...

Weekly challenge EST and the winner is !

It was a very nice theme ... but made it hard to choose a winner.   I like all works and all linked destinations made the entries even more beautiful. 
I was happy to host this theme and even happier to get to know you all and have such nice reponses.

One person was very modest about her destination and chose her own garden ! She makes very very

nice works with very very tiny beads !

The New European Street Team Challenge 'dream destination and its colors'

I am very proud to be chosen by Sabine from La Marquise des Anges as the winner of the

Sense and Textures challenge of the European Street Team.

Less than one year ago I never had heard of Etsy, European Street Team, nor bloggers that craft or crafters that blogged.
A whole new world openend to me, and I love it.

Hosting this challenge and knowing that I take off at the end of the week for a holiday I would like

 She was inspired by Hawaii ! A very bright colored destination indeed !  Who wouldn't dream of visiting this place ?

2. Dear Inge from Heritagedecouleurs has surprised me with 2 entries. It's her dream to travel to Tibet and I hope her dream will come true.
She used the Touaregs from Morrocco to inspire her to make very beautiful earrings.

3. This entry is made by Samantha from Sassafrasvitrolica.  She lives in Valence (France) and is longing for some warmth as the wetter is still very cold.  She made this painting reminding her of her honeymoon to Tunesia.

4.  Alecia from Arctida is totally tempted by the sunsets in Jamaica. She also has spent her honeymoon at this wunderful destination.  The color of the earrings match the colors of the sunset.

5. Eva from AngelPearls : I dream of travel to the beautiful, warm, pretty place of Spring..It can be everywhere..

This particular cherry tree grows on the childrens school yard and inspired me to make this Soft Pink Romance Bracelet !
 

6. Viktoria from Donauluft her dreamdestination is not further then a 100 steps from her kitchen : her garden, that is reconquered today from Mr Winter.  The earrings look a bit like buds and match very well the color of the pillows.

8. Sabine from La Marquise des Anges loves the Greek Blue color.  Crete is her favorite destination.

Number 9 is Feyza from Ikabags a fan of Turkey because of its wunderful nature in the Butterfly Valley.
