Mixing materials and skills

Ann from De Zilverij is an awesome Art Clay Silver artist.  She makes beautiful

silver jewelry as you can see.

To suprise her and tickle her creativity, I sended her off a basic crochet necklace where she could use her imagination and make a piece in silver to match the necklace.

This is the result of our mixing materials and skills :

I am quite proud and fond of the result !

All the participants to this weekly challenge with the 'seeds and pods' theme made great entries.  I am happy I've got to know you all. For me it was very hard to choose, as all made great effort to come up with a great item.

But, I made my choice ....

Your wish is my command

I had a question from a friend to make a jewelleryset fitting her new dress.

I only had a picture from the dress, that made it quite difficult as I could not define the colorscheme for a 100 %. 

 She could choose from the following

designs :

This is the one she picked out, but we adjusted the blue bead to a grey one and the crochet bead to a soft green one to get this result :

I made a matching bracelet :

Times change in travelbusiness

There was a time when the internet was non existing and we had to sell hotels by brochures.  This week I started cleaning up all these old brochures as now hotels

have flashy websites, photoshopped and perfect people walking around the hotels,

mouthwatering buffets, virtual tours ...

I ran into some flashy vintage furniture, 80ties hairdo, buffets that are not really tempting, old cars ... click on the picture to see how the hotels looks now (if it

Europeanstreetteam weekly Challenge : Seeds and Pods

Coincidences happen : I am the randomly picked winner of the EST challenge hosted by Kirschbits !  And ... exactly one year ago on the 15 th of March I

hosted my very first EST challenge too !

The Weekly Challenge is a sort of Billboard – contest host by members of the Etsy European Street Team, Etsy sellers from all over Europe.

How does it work :

One member of the team, the winner of the previous week, selects a theme and publishes it in her/his blog. The other team members who would like to participate, send him/her a photo of a handmade item specially made for the challenge, or one that meets concept of the selected theme. After a week, or sometimes 2 weeks, the host of the challenge selects a winner from all the entries submitted and published in the blog. Then that winner continues the thread.

I am sure that most of you ever made a necklace out of melonseeds when you where little, and as I am a fan of natural products I set the theme to :

 Seeds and Pods

Where to find these ? In your garden, in a gardenshop, a flowershop that gives workshops for flower arrangements ... just let your imagination flow !
